Dragging to Hide Columns and Rows

You can drag with the mouse to hide columns or rows.

To hide a column:

  1. Go to the column heading (the gray bar that has the names of the columns in it) and put the mouse pointer on the border between the column you want to hide and its neighbor to the right (for example, to hide Column B, go to the top of Column B and point at the border between B and C). Your mouse pointer becomes a double arrow.

  2. Click and drag the border to the left until the column disappears. Continue dragging if you want to hide more columns.

To hide a row:

  1. Go to the row numbers that run down the left side of the worksheet and put the mouse pointer on the bottom border of the row you want to hide (to hide Row 2, point at the border between 2 and 3). Your mouse pointer becomes a double arrow.

  2. Click and drag the border up until the row disappears. Continue dragging if you want to hide more rows.
