Keys for Working with Table, Calendar, Card, Timeline, and Icon Views

Keys for Use in a Table View

The Messages with AutoPreview view in Outlook’s Inbox is a table view. Use the shortcuts in these tables in a table view.

Move around in a table

To

Go to the item at the bottom of the screen, and then display another page of items

The Date Navigator is the small calendar to the right of the appointment area in Outlook Calendar’s Day/Week/Month view. Use it to change dates to view.

Keys for Use in a Card View

The Address Cards view in Outlook’s Contacts folder is a card view. Use the shortcuts in these tables in a card view.

Select cards

To use the following keys, make sure a card is selected. To select a card, click the card heading.

Select the previous card

UP ARROW or SHIFT-TAB

Select the next card

DOWN ARROW or TAB

Select the first card in the list

Select the last card in the list

Select the first card on the current page

Extend selection to other cards

Use these keys when you have selected one card and you want to extend the selection to other cards. To select a card, click the card heading.

The By Type view in Outlook’s Journal is a timeline view. Use the shortcuts in these tables in a timeline view.
